(“our”, “us”, “we”) House of Ales, Unit 7, Pontefract Market Hall, Market Place, Pontefract, WF8 1AU, operating our website www.houseofales.co.uk.(“Individual”, “person”) meaning a customer or prospective customer of www.houseofales.co.uk (“they”, “user”,  “you”, “your”) meaning, in context, any customer or prospective customer of www.houseofales.co.uk (“Product(s)”) any item(s) purchased on www.houseofales.co.uk (“Brewer”, “distiller”,“manufacturer”) manufacturer of any products sold on our site.(“Our site”, “this site”) www.houseofales.co.uk.

As a user of our website and when making a purchase from our website, you acknowledge that you do so under our terms and conditions. We hope you understand that these are in place to be as fair to you as they are to us. We reserve the right to update the terms and conditions on this page at any time. The date our terms and conditions were last modified will be published at the top of this page.

Disclaimer  

We make every attempt to ensure all content is complete, correct and current. Despite our best efforts to ensure that this is the case, unfortunately, from time to time some unintentional errors and information may become incomplete, inaccurate or out of date.

We reserve the right that www.houseofales.co.uk are not liable for any misinformation and hold the right to make any changes required.

All information including products, product descriptions and prices are subject to change at any time without any prior notice.

We make all reasonable efforts to ensure all products on our site are displayed and represented accurately within our product images, including colour. However, the colours that you actually see are dependant on your computer or other viewing device and we cannot guarantee that the product colour will be accurately displayed due to this.

Any products included within our site at any particular time are subject to being removed or discontinued without any prior notice and the advertising of these products does not guarantee the availability at any time.

Contract 

When making any purchase from www.houseofales.co.uk, you, as the customer are entering a contract with us and in doing so are accepting liability if the terms and conditions set out in this page are not upheld. 

Age Requirements

By law in the UK, it is a criminal offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18, and by verifying your age before entering our site, you, are confirming that you are of legal age to drink in the UK. 

It is a criminal offence, in the UK, to buy alcohol if you are under the age if 18. By placing an order on our site, you, are entering a contract with www.houseofales.co.uk, and confirm you are not in breach of this law. If you are not aged 18 or above, please cease to use our site, and do not make any attempt to make any purchases.

By making a purchase on our site, you, are confirming that the individual who accepts the package upon delivery is aged 18 or above and is also not in breach of this law. The individual who placed the order must make alternative arrangements for the delivery, at their own cost,  if they cannot guarantee the person who has been asked to accept the package upon delivery is aged 18 or over. If the person who placed the order decides to ignore this, they are liable in whole for the breach of law and may face criminal charges.

If you are buying any alcoholic products for someone else as a gift, or for any other reason, then the person must be aged 18 years or over and by purchasing from our site you are agreeing to uphold this and www.houseofales.co.uk are in no way liable if you fail to do so.

Products

All prices on our site are in pounds sterling (£) and have all relevant taxes and duties within the price.

The products for sale on this site are intended for the end user and are not for resale by you in the United Kingdom or in any other country. 

We recommend that products are stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight or adverse weather and are not stored in temperatures below freezing.

The drinks products on our site are designed for consumption. www.houseofales.co.uk is not a brewer, distiller or manufacturer of any drink either alcoholic or non alcoholic and only handles pre-packaged and sealed items. We are not liable in any way for any brewers/distillers or manufactures misinforming of ingredients in their products which may result in allergies and or intolerances. Where informed, we will provide relevant information if gluten free and suitable for vegans. We do not provide information on all allergies, the person(s) aiming to consume the product should always check labelling on the vessel before consumption. Information on the vessel around allergies this should always be adhered to, and as a customer it is your duty to ensure you read this information provided by the brewer or distiller before consumption. In the case of misinformation on the vessel, www.houseofales.co.uk is in no way liable and the brewer or distiller should be contacted directly in regards to the matter.

Payments

All payments for orders are processed through Stripe, an external service provider. Any payment is subject to the terms and conditions of Stripe. Stripes terms and conditions which can be found  on their website. 

By placing and paying for an order on our site, using a credit or debit card, you declare that you are the card holder.

Verification will be required for card holders and you will be asked to provide an authorisation check. If your card issuer does not authorise this payment then your order will not be processed. In these circumstances, we will not be held liable for any delays or cancellations.

Promotions 

This site periodically runs a variety of promotions/discounts/deals and competitions which may be in conjunction with our suppliers.

All vouchers and discount codes are single use only unless otherwise stated and may not be redeemed multiple times by any one person. Additionally unless otherwise stated  deals/discounts/vouchers are based on discount from full menu price and are not an addition to existing discount or offers. In this instance the offer which is applied will override any current offer and as explained will be based on full price when calculating discount. 

Separate periodically run deals/discounts/vouchers and competitions will be run through marketing campaigns which will adhere to our terms and conditions for that particular campaign. 

All deals/discounts/vouchers and competition wins, unless otherwise stated, are void if passed from party to party and we reserve the right as www.houseofales.co.uk to cancel or revoke any vouchers, discounts or competition wins that are in breach of these terms and conditions.

Any new customer deals, which may be run periodically, solely apply to an individual or person who has not previously ordered from www.houseofales.co.uk. If any individual or person is found to be in breach of this, we have the right to remove the applied promotion deal and or completely revoke the sale in whole. If the sale as a whole is revoked the individual or person will receive a full refund within 14 working days.

Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be combined or used together.

Any free shipping codes/competition wins are subject to our delivery partner’s delivery areas. While we will do our absolute best to honour any wins, we cannot guarantee someone who is living outside of the mainland UK postcodes will be able to receive these goods. Credit

You may receive credit in the form of gift vouchers, discount codes or goodwill gestures. Any credit, unless otherwise stated, can be redeemed on www.houseofales.co.uk only as part of your next order and are not valid on any other site.

Only gift vouchers can be used as the sole credit source to fund any purchase. 

Any product on our site can be bought using any form of credit we offer.

Site registration

Any person or individual who registers on www.houseofales.co.uk does so at their own will and are entering in to an agreement that allows us to retain their information. Registration is solely used to enhance the customer’s experience on our site and is only passed on to our delivery partner for delivering good purposes. When you order a parcel through our delivery partner, your information is subject to their privacy terms and conditions.

We retain your information for us to use to enhance your experience on www.houseofales.co.uk. At no point will www.houseofales.co.uk pass on any customer’s information to any person(s), individual(s) or organisation(s), in conjunction with GDPR laws. All customer details are stored by WordPress and can be removed on request by emailing info@housofales.co.uk. You can find more information in our privacy section. Site registration IS NOT a subscription and you will not be charged for anything other than purchases you make.

Delivery 

Once our delivery partner receives goods from us, we are no longer liable for the condition of the goods, or for late deliveries. We will ensure all goods are in good condition and packaged safely and securely in a timely manner before our delivery partners accept the goods.

Once you have placed an order, you will be notified by email when the order has been received and a second email will be sent when the order has been processed. At this point, any orders cannot be cancelled and you will be required to return the parcel yourself at your own cost in order to obtain a refund on your goods.

Our deliveries are dependant on the services of our delivery partners. When placing an order, you agree to adhere to the service provider’s terms and conditions of delivery.

While we endeavour to do everything we possibly can, we cannot guarantee our partner’s will deliver the goods on time. This means occasionally, due to our partner’s operational circumstances, that packages may arrive late. Please contact our partner directly quoting your tracking number with any queries about your order once you have been notified they are handling your package.
