Free Click & Collect
For those who prefer, we offer free Click & Collect with no minimum order requirement. Simply choose click and collect at the checkout. We’ll send an email notification once we receive and pack your order. You can collect it from House of Ales, Mauds Yard, Pontefract, WF8 1AQ during our opening hours.
Please quote your order number when collecting. We may ask for proof of age, so don’t be offended. While we strive to prepare orders within an hour during opening hours, sometimes it might take longer.
Nationwide Delivery
We offer a Nationwide Delivery service using APC, ensuring your order reaches you no matter where you are in the UK.
We use a next day liquid service to ensure rapid delivery, employing robust and secure packaging to safeguard your products. Orders placed before 1pm are usually handed over to the courier the same day for delivery on the next working day. However, whilst most deliveries should arrive the next working day, this cannot be guaranteed as delays can occur within the courier network that are beyond our control.
Orders placed after 1pm on a Thursday or any time on a Friday will be shipped the following Monday to avoid having items stuck in the delivery network over the weekend.
Please note, delivery times do not include weekends or public holidays. Please allow 1-3 days for delivery before contacting us about missing shipments.
Please ensure an adult is available to receive the delivery. The courier will require a signature to confirm receipt and may ask for age verification.
If a delivery attempt is missed and the order is returned to us, an additional postage fee will be required to reship your order. Please ensure your availability to receive the package or arrange for an alternate delivery option as outlined in the courier’s missed delivery card.
Local Delivery Service
Local delivery is available for addresses within a 5-mile travelling distance of WF8 1AQ. The fee depends on distance and is calculated at checkout.
Ensure you provide up-to-date telephone contact details at checkout. We will call to confirm delivery or to discuss any problems with access or locating your property.
An adult must be present to accept the delivery, and we may require age verification checks. We cannot leave deliveries in a safe place, but we can deliver to a neighbour’s house if you won’t be home. Please let us know at the time of order or contact us at info@houseofales.co.uk, quoting your order number.
If we attempt delivery and find no one available to accept it, we will return your order to the shop the following day for collection during our opening hours.
