The brewery was founded in the 18th Century and is now the largest weisse beer producer in Germany and therefore the world. Erdinger only makes wheat beer and all their brews use an unusually low protein wheat which give a clean and soft tasting beer. A light and fruity wheat beer that is less spicy than many other weisse beers.

Erdinger is the world’s largest wheat beer brewery, based in Erding, Germany. It was founded in 1886 by Johann Kienle and is best-known products are its namesake Weißbiers (wheat beer) which are the best-known culinary product of the city.
