Moeder Overste Flip Top is a Belgian tripel ale from the historic brewery, Brasserie Lefebvre. Founded in 1876 to provide refreshment for the workers from the two nearby quarries, Brasserie Lefebvre has been producing flavourful Belgian ales ever since. Moeder Overste translates into English as ‘Mother Superior’, and some say the name is inspired by the rather overbearing mother-in-law of one of the brewers.
Flip the swing-top lid on this attractively presented bottle, and pour Moeder Overste to reveal a rich golden beer with an off-white head. The beer is perfumed with spices, wood and fruit flavours, for an enticing aroma. The flavour balances the rich malt body with a gentle bitterness for a drinkable tripel ale, deceptive at 8% ABV. Local delivery is available for addresses within a 5-mile radius of WF8 1AQ, with the fee depending on distance and calculated at checkout. For customers outside this area, we offer nationwide shipping options. We use a next day liquid service to ensure rapid delivery, employing robust and secure packaging to safeguard your products. Orders placed before 1pm are usually handed over to the courier the same day for delivery on the next working day.
