The 48th annual Christmas Ale showcases notes of orange, honeysuckle, toasted malts, and eucalyptus. Well-structured with botanicals and pleasantly herbaceous hops, this rye-forward brew finishes with a touch of spice like the warming bitter-sweet notes of Amaro, an Italian herbal liqueur often enjoyed as an after-dinner digestif. The 7.2% ale pairs well with hearty winter fare such as Roasted Achiote Chicken with Mole or a sweet treat like Chocolate Bundt Cake. Anchor Brewing’s recently retired Brewmaster Tom Riley drove the creative direction for the spiced red rye ale as the grand finale to his storied 38-year tenure at ABC.

About Anchor Brewing Co
Anchor Brewing Company was founded in 1896 and was purchased by Frederick Louis Maytag III in 1965, saving it from closure. It moved to its current location in 1979. It is one of the last remaining breweries to produce California common beer, also known as Steam Beer, a trademark owned by the company.
Delivery Information
We currently offer both a local delivery service and a nationwide shipping option. Local delivery is available for addresses within a 5-mile radius of WF8 1AQ, with the fee depending on distance and calculated at checkout. For customers outside this area, we offer nationwide shipping options. We use a next day liquid service to ensure rapid delivery, employing robust and secure packaging to safeguard your products. Orders placed before 1pm are usually handed over to the courier the same day for delivery on the next working day. However, whilst most deliveries should arrive the next working day, this cannot be guaranteed as delays can occur within the courier network that are beyond our control.
